Digital X-Rays for Safe, Effective Diagnosis
Digital x-rays (digital radiographs) are computer generated images. They provide a safe and effective means for the dentist to diagnose cavities between the teeth. Also, they can reveal problems below the gum line in areas, which are not otherwise clinically visible.
Instead of using the traditional x-ray film that must be developed and then fixed, this technology lets us take digital images of teeth. Then, the information goes from a sensor directly to the computer at the dental office, saving time, the environment and radiation exposure to the patient.
